thru-hiking in the himalayas of nepal along the annapurna circuit
Starting near the town of Besisahar in Nepal, this thru-hike took 14 days and 155 miles to complete with a peak altitude of 17,812 ft (5,420 m) at Thorong La Pass.
Rooms cost $1-3 each night, with similar prices for meals, and the mattresses became more rock-like as the elevation increased. Overall it was an amazing experience, second only to the Camino Frances thru-hike, and the unlimited refills of Dal Bhat didn't hurt either.
