an out-and-back hike to annapurna basecamp in the kaski region of nepal

At the end of the Annapurna Circuit I spent a day hiking a series of footpaths leading to the start of the Annapurna Basecamp trek (a 4 day, 38 mile, out-and-back hike) in a village called Chomrong.

After 2 days of pure ascent I made it to basecamp at 13,525 ft (4,110 m) where I read while watching snow fall outside, and woke up early for a sunrise over the mountains. The following day I began the descent, and the end of my Himalayan trekking.
